Came here for dinner with my family and it was delicious. Highly recommend the pastor tacos. Agua de horchata was also perfection. Service was great! Will definitely be coming back.

Just had lunch at Don Cuco which was delicious but came to learn it was Efi last day. She is the shining star of the LaVerne shop. She is a fabulous server manager and is being let go. We hope she finds a new place locally so we can take our business there.

It was our first time so I can't compare Amy of the food. I got pork pozole and it was underwhelming. My husbands bean and cheese burrito was good but small. Store is clean and colorful. The server was blunt but sweet.

I recommend this spot for anyone who is looking for mexican food in the area. It's hard as it is to find something authentic, but this spot gave me a breath of fresh air. Unlike many overly-decorated or gentrified Mexican restaurants in the area, this spot sticks to its roots in decoration, but is welcoming to everyone. The decorations, food, menu, tv, and the staff give you a sense of comfort. I ordered the birria tacos, and a green chilaquiles plate with cecina. Both plates were solid. Flavor and freshness was present. Priced reasonably. Spice levels across the board are not high, but the sauces they bottle in-house are good and give it the extra kick. Service was excellent. Staff spoke both English and Spanish. They engage in any questions you might have, and break down the bill with you if needed. Would definitely come again.

This hidden gem is great. We order extra salsa to go! I've eaten there about 11 times now. Salsa: 9, Food: 8, Service: just like home. The ambience is warm. It has a family feel to it. The waitress is almost always the same lady, and she always talks a little with my kiddo. The food is good. It takes a little while to make it. Don't come when in a hurry, come when you have a minute to relax with the family. The steak fajita plate is a gamble... I had 2 great ones and 2 not so great ones. But the bowls, enchiladas, tacos, and fresh cucumber drink keep us coming back for more. Did I mention the salsa!

The restaurant has very cute decor, I love how festive everything is inside. The staff were friendly as well, but I think they only had one server so she didn't really have time to check up on us. My boyfriend got the Chilaquiles con carne (cecina) and he really enjoyed it. The cecina was tender and the overall plate was pretty good. I got the carne asada and although the flavor itself was good, the meat was just a little chewy. I also did wish that the tortilla chips were fresh out of the fryer because they came to us cold. Other than that, everything else was good!

I'm beginning to question the choices in my life. Like, why do I ever go anywhere else for tacos when these tacos are incredible? Why do I ever go anywhere else for Mexican food when these guys are the best? It was a Tuesday night so what does that mean? It's time for Tacos obviously. I do love me some tacos. I have chased down legendary taco trucks and been to smallest of hole in the wall places for tacos. I've had them at the fair, I've had them everywhere. Seriously, these are right up there as the best. The handmade tortillas, the guacamole and meat spiced just right. No need to go anywhere else. My wife absolutely loved the Flatas and beans. She doesn't typically care for rice at most places, but I didn't even notice a grain of it left on her plate. The refried beans were phenomenal. The service is always great. They are very attentive and helpful. Personally, I prefer sitting in a booth when I'm out to eat so that is the only real drawback here for me. 5 stars from start to finish.
